Over 500 top retailers of India will be participating in the forthcoming 15th Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS). These retailers visit the show every year and pick up their collection of jewellery and gemstones during the show. This was informed by Chairman of JJS, Vimal C. Surana. He was speaking at the press conference for JJS 2018 at SMS Convention Centre today. The event will be held from 21 to 24 December at JECC Sitapura.
Surana further informed that the theme of JJS this year is ‘Reflection of Royalty and Creativity’. This is most apt keeping in mind that Pink City is the land of royalty and gems and jewellery is a significant element of the same. JJS serves as a platform to guide traders and policy makers as well as inspire scope for creativity.
Secretary of JJS, Rajiv Jain said that the show has already had around 30,000 online registrations with 28,000 repeat registrations and 2,000 new registrations. Around 500 booths are designer booths out of the total 825 booths this year. The show will be spread over 2 lakhs square feet area. The Chief Guest for JJS 2018 will be Chairman of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), Ahmed Bin Sulayem and the Guest of Honour will be Chairman of Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), Pramod Derewala.
Media Coordinator of JJS, Ajay Kala said that Jaipur has become a hub for gems and jewellery and attracts national and international visitors. JJS is No. 2 B2B show and No. 1 B2C show. The number of repeat exhibitors at the show continues to grow every year. This year too, the show will feature different sections for – costume jewellery, silvery jewellery and artefacts, gold jewellery, institutions, allied machinery, etc.
