Vigyan left his job as a Corporate Banker to become a fulltime Rural Entrepreneur in 2006. Since then, Vigyan has experimented with multiple rural business models promoting grass root entrepreneurship, organic farming, to improving primary education. In 2012-13, Vigyan consolidated his learning and now his Sahaj Group is working on “Ecosystem” approach to rural Development. The group’s key focus is on improvement of farmers’ income through a better planned (and scaled) dairy farming operation at farms’ level and create “Clean Milk System” to produce the “World’s Best Quality Milk in India”.
At Sahaj, they treat Rural India as a “Horizontal” which merits multiple profitable interventions. The group has active interest in Education, Rural Tourism, Dairy and Agri-business, and is working on enabling other businesses like Healthcare, Sanitation and Water Management to come and participate in the rural growth story.
