PM Narendra Modi celebrated his 68th birthday on 17th September’2018 in Varanasi. The PM spend his day with school children and watched “Chalo Jeete Hain”, a short film based on his life. He arrived Varanasi in the afternoon and headed directly to Narur Village in order to interact with children of a primary school who are being aided by NonProfit organisation “Room to Read”. He was welcomed by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, on his arrival in Varanasi.

Female skydiver Shital Mahajan jumped from 13 thousand feet in US to wish PM Narendra Modi on his birthday. Shital Mahajan is India’s first civilian woman in skydiving. Earlier Shital jumped wearing a Saree to break the stereotype. Shital was awarded Padma shree award in 2011.

While a popular bakery in Gujarat celebrated the birthday by calling Over 1,200 people who share their birthday with the Prime Minister gathered at Sarsana exhibition centre in Surat to create a Guinness World Record for the “largest same birthday gathering”. The “Birthday Carnival”, celebrated as Atulya Shakti Diwas, brought September 17-borns from across the country together and they all cut their own cakes under the same roof. From children to elderly, all were seen wearing birthday caps and enjoying birthday songs.

Another record that took place in Surat, Gujarat where a 680-foot long and 6,800 kg cake was made to celebrate the birthday. The event took place at Swarna Bhumi Party Plot at Vesu. About 1,150kg maida and 1,550kg sugar were used to make the 6,800kg cake. Chefs also used 225kg protein, 1,150kg coco powder, 25kg caramel, 1,675kg whipped cream, 850kg chocolate chips, 350kg oil and 125kg cake gel. The cake was made in 16 degree Celsius temperature in 10 hours by a team 50 people, including 20 chefs.

While the Twitter was also flooded by wishes from all leaders, Bollywood stars and civilians using hashtag #happybirthdayPM.
