With an objective to motivate and inspire students to take up fitness and a healthy lifestyle, a unique fitness programme ‘X-fit was organized today at St. Xavier’s School. Based on functional training, the event was conducted for youth of age under 18 years. It was conducted by the Organizing Secretary of X-fit event, Karan Jhurani, who himself is student of Class 12. Owner of Talwalkars, Ashish Dixit was the Chief Guest for the event.
A total of 4 rounds, to test the endurance, stamina, agility and core strength of the participants were held. While round one was of 400 m race, second round comprised of jumps, obstacle run, ‘burpees’ and plank hold. In the third round the students went through pushups, 10kg plate front raise and tire topple. The last round entitled ‘Big Three’ of bench press, squats and deadlift were held. There were 12 participants who participated in this fitness programme.
Later, Aryaman Singh was awarded as the fittest youth of Jaipur and Jhurani proposed the vote of thanks. It is to be noted that the programme was in association with Xavier’s Alumni.
