Hindi movie ‘Pakhi’ starring Anamika Shukla, Sumeet Kaul and Tanmanya Bali is scheduled to release in cinemas on Aug 10th.
PAKHI, is a social crime drama film based on illegal trafficking of children. “The story is a pure work of fictions with small instances from real life”, quoted Sachin Gupta, Director during his interaction with ChaT. ‘The country has faced various cases of violence with women and sexual exploitation of children during few decades. To highlight the issue and bring it to light, we have made the film’, he added.
‘PAKHI’ is a story of a 10-year-old girl who is been married to an old man for money. It highlights, how even after 70 years of Independence, the country still deals with cases of Child trafficking of Web vision. This story showcases the reality of the world of human trafficking and opens up the pages of its existence. A story of a girl who fights for her exitance and identity fighting the dark.
Sachin Gupta, also added, “Even After 73 years of independence, small girls are forced to marriage and then pushed into the world of Body Trafficking, what kind of independence is this and where is it taking us?” He said, “We will soon be starting with a social campaign, called #IAmPakhi that will open this issue on the Independence Day. This may be a step to Free the Pakhi.”
The other cast of the film includes Pihu, Sikander Khan, and Anmol Goswami. The songs for the film are written by Shayara Apoorva and Shivang Mathur I the director of music. The cinematography is done by Naveen Kumar, editing credits goes to Ajay Shivan and Nikhil Koparde has given the background score. The Shooting of the film is done in areas of Old Delhi and Mumbai.
