State gets its new RAS trainees after 4 years

AJMER: The results of Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) – 2012 were declared by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) on 17th July 2015 after a wait of 4 years, with girls securing the top two positions. The merit lists for 360 posts of RAS and 1211 posts of allied services were released by RPSC.

Radhika Devi of Didwana in Nagaur district topped the merit list while Monika Balara of Hanumangargh secured second position.

The third and fourth positions were bagged by Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, a resident of Shishu village in Sikar district, and Ajitesh Kumar Meena of Dhanoli, Sawai Madhopur, respectively. Yashpal Ahuja stood fifth; Vikas Purohit of Jaipur, sixth; Vikas Kumar, seventh; Mahaveer Singh of Bandikui, eighth; Umed Singh Ratnu of Nagaur, ninth and Parsa Ram of Jodhpur stood 10th in the merit list released by RPSC. Thus, only one position in the top 10 (Vikas Purohit at 6th) was secured by a Jaipur candidate. Raksha Pareek, a resident of walled city in Jaipur has secured 26th position.

Out of 10 first positions, six positions have gone to the general category in which one is a female candidate, and three positions have gone to OBC candidates and one to a ST candidate.

RPSC has declared the results after it completed the interview procedure, sequential to the written exams it conducted in 2012. RAS exams are highly prestigious administrative services competitive exams in which candidates declared successful in both, the written main examination and interviews, are recommended in order of merit to the government for appointments along with the service preference.

According to the RPSC, The result is subject to the decision of Supreme Court and pending writs in the high court.
