 Jaipur, 26 July: Jaipur and the State of Rajasthan will now be a hub for the ‘Start-ups’ in the country. And for that the State Government will soon have a policy in place said the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Vasundhara Raje today at the TiEcon 2015 at Hotel ITC Rajputana in Jaipur. She was the Chief Guest of the event, which was organized by ‘The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE)’.

The Chief Minister said that there is abundance of talent in Jaipur and other cities of Rajasthan. However, there is need to make the facilitation for setting up ‘start-ups’ simple and easier. The new generation of young entrepreneurs who have amazing energy, innovative ideas and a passion to fulfil their dreams will be recognized by the Government. She said that the ‘Incubation Centre’ at the Sitapura Industrial Area has taken off well and such centres need to be further encouraged.

She recalled her visit to Silicon Valley a few years ago where she found that a number of entrepreneurs and engineers hailing from Rajasthan had accomplished success. Where is the need for them to go abroad when Rajasthan itself has tremendous potential for their ventures, she asked, reiterating the fact that the State would be the next hub for ‘start-ups’.

The Chairman, Manipal Global Education, Mr. Mohandas Pai in his mesmerizing speech underlined the fact that it was important to build a global business. For that he said the dire need was to create a product which was the felt need of the human beings and had a simple technology. Furthermore, it had to be flexible enough to change the world and must have access to Venture Capital and Angel Funds. He appealed to the Chief Minister for a relevant policy to support ‘start-ups’ which would be the appropriate avenue for creating jobs and converting dreams into reality.

Earlier, the Co-Founder, iSPIRIT Foundation and Brand Sigma Inc, Mr. Sharad Sharma spoke on the topic ‘Challenges and Opportunities of Software Product Industry’. He said that while business to consumer software initiatives like e-commerce, mobile apps, etc. have been hugely successful, it is the business to segment where a revolution is happening. He cautioned, in reply to a query, that the manner in which e-commerce was being conducted could lead to a bubble burst.

The other speakers at the event were the well known Attorney, Mr. Rajendra Bhansali, who threw light on ‘Demystifying Copyright, Patent and Trademark’; Founder and CEO, Pramati Technologies, Mr. Jay Pullur who shared his knowledge on ‘Going Global’. Similarly, the Head of Media Trivone, Mr. Prasanto Roy spoke on ‘The power of Digital Media for a growing business’ and the Co-Founder of Eko, Mr. Abhishek Sinha threw light on ‘How to Avoid Failures – Lessons Learnt’.

Earlier, the President of TiE, Rajasthan, Mr. Rajneesh Bhandari outlined the objectives of TiE in a power point Presentation. He said the objective of the event was to bring together experts in diverse fields to ignite technology and impactful entrepreneurship. The Chairman of ‘TiEcon 2015’, Mr. Ajay Data welcomed the guests.
