A One Day Seminar on “Tourism & Hospitality Industry in India: Present Status and Future Prospects” was organised today by Amity School of Hospitality, Amity University Rajasthan.
The Chief Guest of the Seminar was Dr Ashish Dahiya, Dean School of Languages, Linguistics, Culture and Heritage, Central University of Haryana. Some other Invited Speakers and Guests were Sanjay Gupta, General Manager, Le Meridian and Prof. Jagdeep Dahiya, Principal, IHM, Dehradun.
The seminar co-patron Prof (Dr.) S L Kothari, Pro Vice Chancellor, AUR spoke on the opportunities and challenges in tourism & hospitality, emerging trends in tourism and pros and cons of tourism in India. The Convenor of Seminar, Abhishek Kumar gave an introduction of the Seminar. The guest speakers spoke on hospitality and tourism marketing, performance of hotel industry in India, Promotional Strategies of Tourism, education and training in hospitality & tourism, consumer behaviour towards hospitality and tourism, ethical concern in tourism and hospitality industry and role of technology in promoting tourism.
The seminar was attended by students of other institutions like IHM CS, Ananta school of Hotel Management, Maharishi Institute of hotel management, UEI Global Institute of Hotel Management. Sanjay Gupta also answered various questions of the students of Hospitality. Finally the Vote of Thanks was given by Organising Secretary of the seminar, Pradyuman Singh Rathore. The seminar ended with a sumptuous lunch organised by the Amity School of Hospitality.
