Raveena Tandon fans rejoice, ‘Maatr’, starring her, is only 21 days away.
The crime thriller drama is written by Michael Pellico and directed by Ashtar Sayed. The poster is out and so it the teaser and Raveena looks as ravishing in them as ever.
She is playing mother to a girl and the film delves on justice for women who are victims of sexual violence.
Madhur Mittal of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame is also in the film.
With Maatr, Raveena returns to the silver screen after two years after a cameo in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet in 2015. She will also soon be seen in Onir’s film Shab.
Raveena’s last full-fledged role was in 2014’s Telugu movie Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda.
In the teaser, out recently, Raveena looks very intense, indicating that her character in the film is very powerful. The teaser opens with some of the most infamous and derogatory remarks made by politicians over time, such as “We should stop our women from wearing jeans” or “Boys are Boys, they make mistakes” or “90% of rapes are consensual” – this builds up the bile and then we see Raveena Tandon exploding on screen. The music is created by a Pakistani Sufi rock band Fuzön.
