Miss India World 2023 Nandini Gupta Unveils Poster for Jaipur Jewellery Show

Theme for JJS 2024 Announced as 'Ruby' at a Glamorous Launch Event

The poster for the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS 2024) was unveiled by Femina Miss India World 2023, Nandini Gupta, at Rambagh Palace. The launch also marked the introduction of the JJS-Ruby Promotion Group in the presence of the JJS Organising Committee and prominent jewellers. During the event, Nandini Gupta praised Rajasthan for its welcoming people, delectable cuisine, and exquisite jewelry. She emphasized that JJS plays a crucial role in bringing together the jewelry and gems community and highlighted how Jaipur’s jewelry is gaining global recognition. Gupta also remarked that the show is a proud effort in preserving Rajasthan’s rich jewelry heritage.

JJS Organising Committee Chairman, Vimal Chand Surana, announced that this year’s theme is ‘Ruby’ and noted that over the past 22 years, JJS has achieved tremendous success with support from exhibitors, visitors, and partners. He added that this year’s edition promises to be even bigger and better.

JJS Honorary Secretary, Rajiv Jain, reflected on the show’s growth since its inception in 2004, from 67 booths to now accommodating 1,128 booths, with a waitlist of 211. The theme promotion will address challenges associated with rubies, such as cutting, polishing, treatment, and certification. Additionally, the Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF) will showcase the creativity of emerging jewelry designers, artisans, and craftsmen.

Gopal Kumar, Director of Gemfields India, highlighted Mozambique, the leading ruby producer, and lauded the efforts of trade participants and business partners in uplifting one of the world’s poorest nations. He noted that Gemfields has been a proud partner of JJS for over a decade.

The event was conducted by JJS Joint Secretary and Spokesperson, Ajay Kala, who reiterated that JJS remains the top B2C and the second-largest B2B show in India. He also hinted at new initiatives aimed at enhancing trade during the December event.
