Rajasthan is poised to leverage its abundant natural resources, including gold, iron, petroleum, and newly discovered lithium reserves, to become a 350 billion USD economy in the next five years. The state government is committed to generating over five lakh jobs in the next five years, improving infrastructure, promoting environmentally sustainable energy, and enhancing digital governance, leading to significant changes in daily life. As Rajasthan becomes a preferred investment destination, it is fitting that an esteemed and long-standing organization like the Indian Chamber of Commerce is now established in the state. The inauguration of the chamber this year is timely, aligning perfectly with the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit. This was stated by the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Diya Kumari, during her address as the chief guest at the inauguration of the Indian Chamber of Commerce’s Rajasthan State Office in Jaipur.
The Deputy Chief Minister further stated that the Indian Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest, most active, and visionary chambers in the country. Its members include some of the largest and most prominent industrial groups in India. The state is committed to the vision of ‘Developed India – Developed Rajasthan,’ and an action plan has already been prepared to achieve this. The long-term economic transformation expected in the state will significantly benefit the youth, women, farmers, and marginalized communities.
Dr. Jayashree Periwal, the newly appointed Chairperson of the ICC Rajasthan State Office, emphasized that the chamber plays a crucial role in realizing the economic vision of both the state and the nation. The ICC aims to collaborate with both the state and central governments to fulfill this role. We aspire to support and collaborate with various government initiatives to improve the local business environment and strengthen business communities through advocacy, networking, and campaigning.
