For Dr Roshan Radhakrishnan, bringing a smile on a person’s face and making them forget their own worries is the ultimate reward at the end of the day. Professionally, he achieves that goal by donning a mask every day and working as an anaesthesiologist to relieve physical pain and suffering. On a personal level, he aims to do the same with his words, replacing the mask of an anaesthesiologist with that of a whimsical writer as he takes them on fictional journeys and makes them smile or ponder with his prose.
In 2014, his blog Godyears was chosen as the Best Blog in India for Creative Writing at the Country’s First Live Blogging Conference and Awards Ceremony, WIN’14. Two years later, he beat over 25,000 entries to be a winner of Write India Season One, India’s largest crowd sourced literary competition. Over the years, he has been published both in print and online websites in over twenty popular anthologies and e-magazines. The journey continues even today, looking to be a better person than he was the day before.
