Empowering Young Minds with Fitness and Nutrition

Coach Prem Gurnani leads interactive session on fitness and nutrition for children and parents at Empire Taekwondo Academy, Jaipur

In a commendable initiative to promote health and wellness among the younger generation, fitness coach and nutrition counsellor Prem Gurnani conducted an engaging and educational workshop for children and parents at Empire Taekwondo Academy. The session drew participation from over 70 children, aged 3 to 18, and 30 parents, all eager to learn about cultivating healthier lifestyles.

With more than a decade of experience—including 8 years as a professional trainer and 6 years in modeling—Gurnani currently serves as a personal trainer and nutrition expert at UFC Gym. Known for his dedication to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest in health science, Gurnani brought real-world insights that made the session both informative and relatable.

The workshop focused on creating awareness among children about the importance of daily habits and nutrition choices. Key topics included:

Through simple language, interactive explanations, and relatable examples, Gurnani helped children understand how what they eat directly affects how they feel, perform, and grow. Visual aids and food charts were used to reinforce learning and help children remember key takeaways.

“It’s important that children not only play sports but also understand what fuels their bodies,” said Gurnani. “A nutritious diet and healthy routine form the foundation for lasting energy, focus, and fitness.”

In addition to addressing the children, Gurnani engaged with parents, guiding them on how to reinforce healthy eating at home and set positive examples through their own habits. He discussed practical meal planning, lunchbox ideas, and how to replace processed snacks with wholesome alternatives.

The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, where both children and parents asked questions about specific food items, weight management, and myths around dieting.

Workshops like these go beyond education—they inspire action. As Gurnani remarked, “When we equip children with the right knowledge and inspire them to make informed choices, we shape a healthier, more confident generation.”

The workshop ended on a positive note, with families pledging to adopt a more mindful and nutritious lifestyle together.
