Major Boost for State Roads

Central Government Approves ₹1,154.47 Crore for 27 Roads in Rajasthan

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has sanctioned ₹1,154.47 crore to support the development of 27 roads spanning 748.80 km in Rajasthan. This funding will be used for the widening and strengthening of these roads. Additionally, ₹30 crore has been approved for constructing a railway underpass in Sri Ganganagar.

This project includes the construction of a high-level bridge over the Kalisindh River in Kota. The funding is provided under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) and Setu Bandhan Yojana. Deputy CM Diya Kumari expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for this approval.

Development Gets a New Push

Diya Kumari remarked, “This approval is a significant step towards strengthening the state’s infrastructure and accelerating development. These road projects will improve transportation, boost trade, tourism, and agriculture, and create new employment opportunities.”

Road Construction Across Districts

Under various projects, road widening and strengthening will be undertaken in 17 districts covering 15 Lok Sabha constituencies in Rajasthan.

  • Alwar: ₹24 crore for 24 km
  • Khairthal-Tijara: ₹69 crore for 51 km
  • Kotputli-Behror: ₹49.30 crore for 28.62 km
  • Balotra (Barmer): ₹57.50 crore for 49 km
  • Shahpura (Bhilwara): ₹74 crore for 44 km
  • Bikaner: ₹73.30 crore for 71.80 km
  • Pratapgarh: ₹20 crore for 17 km
  • Jaipur Rural & Sikar: ₹65 crore for 57.70 km
  • Jalore: ₹65 crore for 49 km
  • Jhalawar: ₹149.97 crore for 81.25 km
  • Phalodi (Jodhpur): ₹55.65 crore for 53 km
  • Bundi (Kota): ₹80 crore for 33 km
  • Bridge on Kalisindh River (Kota): ₹70 crore
  • Jodhpur Rural (Pali): ₹98 crore for 67 km
  • Rajsamand: ₹70 crore for 58 km
  • Tonk: ₹58.50 crore for 25.43 km
  • Udaipur: ₹65.25 crore for 39 km

These projects aim to establish new milestones for Rajasthan’s growth and significantly contribute to the state’s overall economic development.
