Rajasthan Government employees will get full pension after 25 years of service

The cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at the Chief Minister’s residence. In this, important decisions regarding promotion, pension, special pay, and designation were taken in the interest of the government employees. Also, the Cabinet has decided to allot land for hostels to various societies.

Now full benefit of pension to employees after 25 years of service

The cabinet has approved the proposal to amend the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1996. With this, instead of the qualifying service of 28 years, the employees will be able to get the benefit of full pension after completing 25 years of service and retirement. Also, 75-year-old pensioners/family pensioners will be able to get a 10 percent additional pension allowance. In case of the death of the personnel/pensioner, his/her married disabled son/daughter and eligible members earning up to Rs.12,500 per month will also be able to get the benefit of family pension. The notification of this amendment will be effective from 1 April, 2023.

Increase in special pay for employees

The Cabinet has approved the proposal to amend the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2017. This will increase the special pay of the employees. Notably, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced in this regard in the 2023-24 budget, according to which it was proposed to increase the Special Allowance and Special Pay payable to the employees and officers as per the recommendations by the Pay Anomalies Examination Committee.

Backward and other backward class vacancies will be carried forward for 3 years

In case of non-availability of eligible candidates of backward class and other backward class in any recruitment year, their vacancies will be carried forward for the next three years like scheduled caste and scheduled tribe category. With this, the candidates of these classes will be able to get more employment opportunities. The cabinet has approved a proposal related to this.

Senior Medical Officers will get full benefit of advance salary increments

The cabinet has decided to give full benefit of advance salary increments to senior medical officers having PG degree or equivalent diploma by amending Schedule-5 of the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2017. Due to the provision of advance increments for higher posts from senior medical officers, higher officers will also be benefited.

Now one more additional promotion opportunity in prosecution service

In the cabinet meeting, while approving the Rajasthan Prosecution Service (Amendment) Rules, 2023, it has been decided to give an additional promotion opportunity to the officers of the Prosecution Service. Under this, a new post of Joint Director Prosecution has been created and the pay level of the post of Additional Director has been increased from L-20 to L-21.

Work-charged personnels to get pay scale, designation on the lines of regular personnel

The cabinet has decided to amend the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay Scale) Rules- 1989, 1998, 2008, and 2017 to give pay scale and designation on the lines of regular personnel to work-charged personnel.

Four service rules included in the notification of the Department of Personnel

In the notification issued on 17.01.2013 regarding the reservation of vacancies of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by the Department of Personnel, the Cabinet has included The Rajasthan Fisheries State and Subordinate Rules, 2012, The Rajasthan Subordinate Service (Recruitment and Other Service Conditions) Rules-2001, The Rajasthan Madarsa Education Assistant Subordinate Service Rules, 2013 and The Rajasthan Vidhyalay Sahayak Subordinate Service Rules-2015.
