‘VERVE-2019’ at IIS University

A diamond doesn’t sparkle till the time it is not exposed to light. Similarly, for juniors this luminous light is their seniors. In order to thank the seniors for the enthusiastic and overwhelming welcome in the fresher’s party, the new entrants of IIS (Deemed to be University) organized a thank you bash – VERVE 2019.

Since the Ganesh Chaturthi fervor is going on, the program commenced with Ganesh Vandana. The evening witnessed the gracious moves, the rocking beats, the energetic music on which the body grooved.

Anuradha Dasani, Ms. Fresher of the year took the stage to welcome the seniors for this exuberant thank you bash VERVE 2019. In her welcome note she thanked her seniors for invaluable affection and guidance.

“The last few days of transition have not been easy- the anticipation, excitement and anxiety have all turned it into a rollercoaster ride. But what made this period of metamorphosis a memory worth cherishing, was the constant love and support of you all, our dear, dear seniors. You stood by us every step of the way and provided us invaluable affection and guidance,” she expressed.

Rajasthan is a state full of heritage, art and culture. The juniors chose the theme of desert state’s culture to showcase their talent and with their performances expressed their pride in being called Rajasthanis. Vivacious Ghoomer performance on melodious Rajasthani songs such as Bajuband, Rajwadi Odhni, Rangeelo Mharo Dholna mesmerized the seniors to the core.

The next set of performance was a power-packed blend of popular groovy songs such as Long Gavacha, Coca, Makhna etc and bhangra beats that made seniors swing with joy and zeal.

The nightingales of the university refreshed and energized the seniors with their performance on songs including Sau Aasmano, Ilahi, A Le, A Le…Another duet performance on “Ghar More Pardesiya…” by Labdhi Jain and Ishita Rahtore made everyone grove.

The office bearer’s of the University took over the stage to give tribute to teachers on the occasion of teachers’ day in a melodious way. They began with songs Aashiana mera…Rubaru… but the moment became memorable when Dr. Ashok Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of the University joined them on stage and sang his one of the favourite songs Aa Chal ke Tujhe….in his harmonious voice.

To mark teachers day, students presented saplings to the teachers in order to give message to make environment green and clean.

Finally the moment arrived when the investiture ceremony was solemnized to appoint office bearers of the university for the session 2019-20. The office bearers selected for coveted posts promised to uphold the prestige of their institution and shoulder their responsibilities earnestly.

Smarnika Shekhawat (UG) announced as Head Girl while Anuradha Dasani (PG) appointed as President of the university.
