Jaipur History Festival Begins at City Palace

The 4th Jaipur History Festival began at City Palace today. The 4-day festival will continue till 16 December. It is being organised by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum in collaboration with ‘Rooftop’. The theme for this year is ‘Phad se Padh’.  As many as 1400 students from 19 different schools participated in this program.

The festival began with a prayer by The Palace School students. Later, as many as 13 schools performed through dance and music on different themes. These themes were: 14 Principles of Management by Henry Fayol (SRN International School); Metallurgy Chemistry (Delhi Public School Jaipur); Life of Buddha (Dharav High School); Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav – Achievements of our country (The Palace School); Planning Business Services: Banking – Modes of Payments, Money Evolution (Sanskar School); Objectives of Government Budget (Rukmani Birla Modern High School); Unsung Heroes of Chittorgarh (Birla Shiksha Kendra Chittorgarh); Buddha and the path of enlightenment (MPS International School); Science through Vikram and Betaal (S.V. Public School); Staffing Process (Brightlands Girls School); Ram Lakshman Parshuram Sambaad Poetry (St Edmunds School); Story of Mahaveera (Subodh School); Paani ki Kahani – Jal Gaatha (Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School).

Workshops were also conducted for the children on multifarious topics like: Mask Making, Engaging Board, Zentangle Art, Jewellery Mania, Block Printing, Texture, Eco Painting, Origami, Space Making, Newspaper Weaving, Mandana, Phad. These workshops were put up by Arch College of Design, Poddar Institute, Apex Institute and Dharav High School.
