
What startups need most today is to connect with right set of people- mentors, investors, customers and even the fellow startups working in the same ecosystem. The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Rajasthan, a non-profit organisation devoted to entrepreneurs in all industries and at all stages, alonghwith iStart- the flagship initiative for startups by the Rajasthan State Government, have come up with such a series of ‘Open Mic Pitch’ to provide the desired connects to the startups working in the state.
Open Mic Pitch is a novel platform for the budding entrepreneurs to demonstrate their work in a non-judgemental way and help them network and get a feedback from the TiE fraternity.
In the first of the series, 15 startups from Jaipur, Udaipur and Bikaner pitched their ideas at Techno Hub which the startups said was a real opportunity to receive the right type of exposure in front of right people.
Dr. Ravi Modani, President- TiE Rajasthan and one of the Jury Members talking about the session said that it is a mandate of TiE to help startups and Open Mic Pitch is our new initiative in this direction to synergise our efforts with the Rajasthan State Government. TiE is also coming up with 6th edition of it’s flagship initiative called Smash Up in September to connect Rajasthan based startups with active investors from across the country.
Sandesh Nayak, Commissioner- Department of IT, Government of Rajasthan present on the occasion ensured startups of all possible support through the istart program as also encouraged them to utilize the government e-procurement place for startups ‘eBazaar Rajasthan’ as a revenue channel alongwith looking for external investors.
