A Legacy of Literary Impact
The Jaipur Literature Festival’s Outreach Programme, a joint effort by Pratham Books, Teamwork Arts, and Yuva Ekta Foundation, has expanded significantly since its launch in 2011. What began with just five schools now reaches over 500 schools in its 15th year, inspiring a generation of readers and thinkers. The programme connects young minds with authors, illustrators, diplomats, and artists, sparking creativity and curiosity about the world around them.
The festival, celebrated as the “greatest literary show on Earth,” brings together global thinkers and fosters intellectual exchange, leaving a lasting impact on both participants and the world of literature.
Puneeta Roy, Managing Trustee of Yuva Ekta Foundation, highlighted the significance of this initiative, saying, “The Outreach Programme brings the literary world to those who might not otherwise experience it, offering a slice of the festival’s magic to thousands of young people in schools.”
Simran Jain, an illustrator and writer who once participated in the Outreach Programme as a student, returned this year as a speaker. Reflecting on her transformative journey, she shared, “The Yuva Ekta Foundation played a pivotal role in shaping my artistic career. The programme opened doors to incredible opportunities, and the foundation continues to inspire me as both an artist and an individual.”
