CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Unveils JJS 2026 Theme, Accepts Invitation to Inaugurate Show

Theme "Coloured Gemstones – An Indispensable Part of Jaipur Heritage" unveiled; Chief Minister to inaugurate India's premier gem and jewellery exhibition on December 22.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma unveiled the official theme poster of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) 2026 on Saturday, formally launching the upcoming edition of one of India’s largest gem and jewellery exhibitions. The Chief Minister also accepted the organisers’ invitation to inaugurate the show as the Chief Guest on 22 December 2026.

The theme for JJS 2026“Coloured Gemstones – An Indispensable Part of Jaipur Heritage,” celebrates Jaipur’s centuries-old legacy in coloured gemstones and highlights the city’s global reputation for gemstone cutting, craftsmanship and trade.

The theme poster was unveiled in the presence of the JJS delegation comprising Rajiv Jain (Chairman), Dinesh Khatoria, Kamal Kothari and Mahavir P. Sharma, who briefed the Chief Minister on the preparations for the forthcoming edition of the exhibition.

During the meeting, the delegation extended a formal invitation to the Chief Minister to inaugurate JJS 2026, which will be held from 22 to 25 December 2026 at the Novotel Jaipur Convention Centre (JECC), Jaipur. Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma graciously accepted the invitation and consented to inaugurate the exhibition on its opening day.

Expressing his gratitude, JJS Chairman Rajiv Jain said, “We are honoured by the Chief Minister’s encouragement and support. The theme is a tribute to Jaipur’s rich coloured gemstone heritage, which has earned the city worldwide recognition as a leading centre for gemstone cutting, craftsmanship and trade. JJS has consistently showcased the strength of India’s gem and jewellery industry while promoting Jaipur’s unique legacy on the global stage.”
