Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan witnessed the grand and historic inauguration of the first-ever Pravasi Rajasthani Divas–2025 at the JECC Convention Centre today. The event transformed Jaipur into a global confluence of Rajasthan’s diaspora, welcoming distinguished guests, industry stalwarts, and over a million-strong global Rajasthani community joining in spirit.
The landmark inaugural ceremony was graced by Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal, Union Ministers Bhupender Yadav, C.R. Patil, Bhagirath Chaudhary, along with business leaders including Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal and Tata Power CEO & MD Praveer Sinha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to all Pravasi Rajasthanis on this historic occasion.
‘Rajasthan: Land of Bhakti, Shakti and Enterprise’ – Governor Bagde’s Call to the Diaspora
Governor Haribhau Bagde urged Pravasi Rajasthanis to “repay the debt of the motherland” by investing generously in the state’s evolving growth story. Calling Rajasthan the land of bhakti, shakti and lakshmiputras, he highlighted the diaspora’s long-standing contribution to strengthening the socio-economic fabric of the state.
Quoting poet Kanhaiyalal Sethia’s iconic “Dharati Dhora Ri”, he praised the Chief Minister’s efforts in bringing together such a large global Rajasthani community. He assured investors that Rajasthan now offers skilled manpower, land availability and a business-friendly ecosystem with time-bound clearances.
Invoking “Janani Janmabhoomi Swargadapi Gariyasi”, he said Rajasthan today is not a barren land but a fast-transforming, green and opportunity-driven state, welcoming all diaspora members with its timeless ethos of “Padharo Mharo Desh.”
Piyush Goyal: ‘Trust Rajasthan, Because Every Promise Is Delivered Here’
Union Minister Piyush Goyal described Rajasthan as a remarkable blend of tradition, modernity, heritage and progress. He emphasized the state’s six key strengths, demographic dividend, dependability, decisiveness, devotion, demand and diversity and highlighted Rajasthan’s youth as its strongest growth engine.
Praising the leadership of CM Bhajanlal Sharma, he said:
“Rajasthan is trusted because every promise here is fulfilled. This dependability is the state’s unique identity.”
Goyal noted that during the last two years, the Chief Minister has successfully united all stakeholders and launched major initiatives like Rising Rajasthan, with Pravasi Rajasthani Divas becoming the next major milestone.
He highlighted that MoUs worth over ₹35 lakh crore have been signed in the state, with a significant share already moving to execution. Rajasthan’s strength in industrial growth, handicrafts, tourism, energy and social development is now becoming globally recognized.
‘Rajasthan Poised to Become India’s No.1 State’ – Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047
Goyal underlined India’s emergence as a $4 trillion economy and stressed the vital role Rajasthan will play in achieving the national vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
He expressed confidence that with the combined efforts of the diaspora and state government, “no global force can stop Rajasthan from becoming the No.1 state in the country.”
