Chief Secretary Takes Stock of Preparations for January 4–6 Mega Startup and Innovation Event

A high-level review meeting on the preparations for Rajasthan DigiFest–10th TiE Global Summit was held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. The summit is scheduled to take place from January 4 to 6, 2026, at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), Sitapura, and is expected to witness participation from over 10,000 delegates.

The three-day summit will bring together a diverse group of national and international speakers and investors, representatives from central and state governments, startup founders, entrepreneurs, students, academic institutions, corporate leaders, and global delegates. Representatives from states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, and Gujarat will also participate, engaging in sessions focused on startups, investment, innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary stated that the summit presents a significant opportunity to position Rajasthan as a strong national and international hub for digital innovation, startup ecosystems, and technology-driven investment. He directed the Department of Information Technology and Communication (DoIT&C) to ensure that all preparations are completed within stipulated timelines and that the event is organised on a grand scale. He further emphasised inter-departmental coordination and time-bound execution.

Specific instructions were issued to various departments:

  • The Tourism and Art & Culture Department was directed to ensure arrangements for the Rajasthan Pavilion, airport help desks, and guest reception.
  • The Urban Development Department was tasked with city cleanliness, beautification, and civic amenities.
  • The Home Department was instructed to make robust arrangements for security, traffic, and parking management.
  • The Department of Personnel (GAD) was directed to ensure protocol arrangements, guest accommodation, and vehicle management.
  • The Information and Public Relations Department was instructed to coordinate media registration, media-centric activities, and publicity.
  • The Industries and Commerce Department was asked to ensure participation of major industry groups, while the Medical and Health Department was directed to ensure medical facilities and food safety during the event.

Providing details of the summit, DoIT&C Secretary Dr. Ravi Kumar Surpur informed that the event will see participation from public representatives, international delegates, senior government officials, leading industry figures, technology entrepreneurs, unicorn founders, and startup leaders. The summit will feature masterclasses, panel discussions, roundtable meetings, and special dialogue sessions. A key highlight will be the Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Summit, focusing on the use of AI in public service delivery and governance, ethical and responsible AI, AI startups and innovation ecosystems in Rajasthan, and the role of AI in the creative economy and gaming sectors.

DoIT&C Commissioner Himanshu Gupta added that the summit will also host a wide range of engagement activities including an Innovation Expo, Startup Pitch Sessions, Hackathons, Game Jams, Comic-Con, and a Film Festival. He informed that major preparatory milestones, such as venue booking, financial approvals, hotel and transport arrangements, invitations to speakers and industry leaders, and implementation of the media plan, have already been completed.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Higher and Technical Education, Kuldeep Ranka; Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing, Dr. Debashish Prusti; Commissioner, Industries, Commerce and CSR, Suresh Kumar Ola; senior officials from Tourism, Home, Medical and Health departments, Police Administration, and representatives of TiE Mahavir Pratap Sharma, among others.
