
Rajasthan took another decisive step towards cementing its status as a fast-emerging national innovation hub with the inaugural session of the Rajasthan DigiFest × TiE Global Hackathon held on Friday morning at Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur. The two-day national-level hackathon, being organised on December 13 and 14, is one of the flagship highlights of Rajasthan DigiFest x 10th TiE Global Summit.
The inaugural session set the tone for an intense, high-energy innovation marathon, bringing together over 700 innovators forming 250+ teams from 54 cities across 12 States and Union Territories. The scale and diversity of participation underline Rajasthan’s growing prominence in India’s startup and innovation ecosystem, especially among youth from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
Youth, Ideas and Innovation Take Centre Stage
Students, startup founders, developers and young professionals converged at the campus, creating a vibrant atmosphere of collaboration and competition. With 150+ women innovators participating, the hackathon also showcased a strong push towards inclusive and diverse innovation.
Organisers highlighted that the turnout reflects India’s rising culture of youth-led problem solving and the increasing role of technology in driving governance and development outcomes.
Solving Real Governance Challenges
The hackathon focuses on real-world problem statements from seven Government departments, ensuring that innovation remains closely aligned with public impact. Key domains include:
- Digital Agriculture and Farmer Support Ecosystems
- Tourism and Experience Enhancement
- Public Health Engineering Department (PHED)
- Other citizen-centric governance challenges
Participants are leveraging technology, data analytics, AI and digital platforms to design scalable, implementable solutions that align with both national priorities and Rajasthan’s development roadmap.

What’s Scheduled Over the Two Days
Over the course of the two-day event, participants will engage in:
- Intensive hackathon coding and solution-building sessions
- Mentorship clinics with industry experts, startup leaders and TiE members
- Mid-way reviews and jury interactions to refine ideas and improve feasibility
- Pitch presentations before an expert jury panel on Day 2
- Evaluation and shortlisting of top solutions with real-world application potential
The event will culminate with final presentations, jury deliberations and recognition of winning teams, offering innovators valuable exposure, feedback and ecosystem connections.
