
On the occasion of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, Niranjan Arya today flagged off 18 participants of the BSF Cycle Rally at Central Park in Jaipur. Among others who flagged off were – DIG, BSF, Pushpendra Singh Rathore; President Honour of FHTR, Bhim Singh; President, FHTR, Apurv Kumar; Sr. Vice President, FHTR, Kuldeep Singh Chandela and General Secretary, FHTR, Mohan Singh. Also on the occasion, the Chief Secretary released a poster of the recently launched digital campaign of FHTR.
The Border Security Force has organised the cycle rally event from Bikaner to Delhi via Jaipur which covers a whopping 650 kms. The flag-off event today had been organised in collaboration with the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR). The representatives FHTR as well as Hotel & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR) and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO) were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the Chief Secretary said that ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is the most appropriate occasion for the 75 years of Independence which the nation will be celebrating next year. He also pointed out one of the largest national flags which flutters in the Central Park makes it the apt place to flag off the rally. He appreciated the representatives of the tourism trade who have joined hands with the BSF for supporting this cycle rally. He agreed that border tourism, as far as it is confined to Indians, should be opened. He said that he was happy to see people from the hospitality industry come forward to organise such events with Armed forces.
DIG, BSF, Pushpendra Singh Rathore said that the cyclists are hugely enthusiastic about this rally and are participating with vigour and zeal. The rally is sending a strong message about the importance of the country’s freedom.
President Honour of FHTR, Bhim Singh appreciated the efforts of the BSF. He said that while in Bikaner he was well aware of the valour and gallantry of this defence force which actually is the first line of defence in the country.
The President of FHTR, Apurv Kumar said that FHTR would collaborate with the BSF in organising the 50th anniversary celebration of the 1971 war victory on 16 December in Bikaner.
Sr. Vice President, FHTR, Kuldeep Singh Chandela introduced the dignitaries present on the occasion and said that the rally will reach Shahpura tomorrow where it will be received by the Vice President, FHTR, Surendra Singh Shahpura.
