Residents of Rajasthan get freedom from inflation: CM

Chief Minister  Ashok Gehlot paid tribute to the martyrs on Independence Day. Extending wishes to people of the state he said that the country has maintained its strong democracy by moving on the path of non-violence under the guidance of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Now it is our big responsibility to protect it. He said that according to the Constitution of India, the state government is committed to promote social and economic equality in the state and for the all-round development of the general public. The state government is working by following the elements of policy guidelines.

Gehlot was addressing the state level function at Sawai Man Singh stadium in Jaipur on the Independence Day-2023. He inspected the parade. He said that every person is getting benefitted with the public welfare schemes of the state. People have got freedom from inflation. Now it is our target to make Rajasthan the leading and the best state of the country by 2030, in which the contribution of all sections of the society is very important.

Today is day of enthusiasm, tomorrow will be full of hopes

The Chief Minister said that this time the Independence Day is a day of new hope for Rajasthan. We all are celebrating the auspicious day as a state with 50 districts with the creation of 17 new districts. He said the Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympic Games is the biggest sporting event in the world in which 60 lakh sportspersons are taking part. This will get ready the players who will win international medals in the future.  

Rajasthan is leading in the country

The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan has become a Model State in the country for social security. The state now has become the only state in the country to fix minimum income to every family with Rajasthan Minimum Income Guaranteed Act, to make Gig Workers Welfare Act and Fund and to restore OPS. He said that with the unique initiative of Mehangai Rahat Camps (inflation relief camps), direct benefit of 10 schemes has been ensured to the people of the state. Out of around 1.95 crore families, 1.82 crore families have registered themselves in the camps.  

Your tax, dedicated to you

Gehlot said that the budget announcements have been implemented with efficient financial management. The state government is dedicating the tax of the general public in their interests. With the excellent medical arrangements during the corona period, the State proved to be a Model in corona management. The state government as a trustee is committed to make the state leading in education, health, social security and infrastructure.

Our Schemes being praised in the country

The Chief Minister said that the entire country is praising our schemes, mainly the Right to Health, the Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, Nirogi Rajasthan Yojana, Rajasthan Minimum Income Guaranteed Act (125 days employment guarantee in Mahatma Gandhi NREGS and Indira Gandhi Employment Guarantee Scheme) and social security pension of minimum Rs 1000 per month to 1 crore people.

Along with this, people of the country are praising Rajasthan for making Gig Workers Welfare Act, provision of life sentence on leaking paper, providing government jobs to more than 3 lakh people and lakhs of opportunity in private sector, giving 12 sanitary napkins per month in Udaan Scheme, food for Rs 8 in Indira Rasoi Scheme, giving subsidy for 9 months to Gaushalas and for 12 months to Nandishalas, giving gas cylinder for Rs 500, giving economic assistance of Rs 40,000 for milch cattle that perished in lumpy disease, bringing Kamdhenu Bima Yojana, giving smartphones in the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana and providing opportunity to 500 students to study abroad under the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence.

Central Government should make Right to Social Security

The Chief Minister said that people of the country were given a uniform right by implementing RTI, RTE, Mahatma Gandhi NREGS, Food Security Act under the leadership of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Similarly, now the Prime Minister should make a Right to Social Security law.

Thanks and Wishes to Farmers and Cattle rearers

Gehlot extended wishes to farmers for making the state first in the country in production of food grains, oilseeds, pulses, chana, bajra and mustard and to cattle rearers in milk and wool production. He thanked the doctors and medical fraternity for implementing the Right to Health, the Mukhymantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana and for Nirogi Rajasthan Yojana. He thanked the state personnel for making Rajasthan ahead in the country in the rating of the Central Government’s Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, in resolving the public problems and thanked the engineers, architects and labourers for the strong infrastructures.

It is our responsibility to respect women

Gehlot said that it is our responsibility to maintain the dignity and honour of girls and women, therefore records of molesters will be kept in the police stations as history sheeters who molest and eve-tease them. Rules are being changed to keep them deprived from government jobs.  Gehlot also shared his views about the changes in the lives of beneficiaries of the public welfare schemes.

Big Announcements in the interest of the state

1. Ramgarh Dam in Jaipur will be filled with water from Isarda Dam under Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP), with a cost of Rs 1250 crore. Drinking water schemes to be made for Andhi, Jamwaramgarh, Amer, Jalsu, Govindgarh, Shahpura, Viratnagar, Paota, Kotputli, Thanagazi and Bansur.

2. Deprived dams will be linked in the DPR of ERCP important for 13 districts. 53 dams in Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Bharatpur and Alwar will be filled by linking them with ERCP. This increases the cost of ERCP by Rs 1665 crore and 11 lakh farmers will be benefitted.

3. Free ration kits will be provided in the Annapurna Ration Kit yojana to those non-NFSA families who got Covid ex-gratia along with the National Food Safety Scheme families.

4. Those who carry the injured to hospital in time are given Rs 5000 cash and certificate in the Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojana, now this amount has been increased to Rs 10,000.

5. In the first phase, 40 lakh girls and women are being given the smartphone in the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme. Guarantee cards will be given on August 20 in which a guarantee will be given to provide smartphones to around 1 crore women in the next phase. Women can take smartphones for free by showing this guarantee card.

6. Special “Rajasthan Police Panchsati Medal” will be given to all police personnel from the level of constable to DGP to mark the completion of 75 years of formation of Rajasthan Police.

7. At present, the promotion of the posts from constable to inspector in the police department is done through holding examinations. Now by changing this, the promotion up to these posts will be done through timely DPC.

Set parameters of development in a planned manner

The Chief Minister said that the state government in the field of education has opened 342 new primary schools and 30 Sanskrit schools in the last 4.5 years. 1779 government primary schools have been upgraded to middle schools. More than 5 lakh students are studying in 2500 Mahatma Gandhi government English medium schools in the state. In the last 70 years 250 colleges were opened. The present government started 309 new colleges, out of which 132 are colleges for women. Along with this, 51 agriculture, 6 Ayurveda, 12 medical, 26 nursing and 21 new shastri Sanskrit colleges were opened.

In the health sector, 1674 new sub centres, 353 primary health centres, 65 sub district hospitals, 27 district hospitals and 13 satellite hospitals were opened. Besides this, 277 PHCs were upgraded to Community health Centres. This has led to an increase of beds by 11,700. Along with this, 1000 Ayush Health Wellness Centres, 82 Block Ayush Hospitals, 225 Block Homeopathy dispensaries and 101 new Unani hospitals have been opened.

Around 1 crore people in the state are being given minimum Rs 1000 per month under the social security pension on which more than Rs 38,000 crore per annum is being spent. In the Palanhar yojana, 6.87 lakh children are being benefitted. Till date, Rs 2882 crore has been given as subsidy to gaushalas in the state.

Gehlot said that 17 new districts, 72 new municipalities, 85 tehsils, 125 sub tehsils, 1131 patwar mandals and 1284 revenue villages have been created to strengthen the administrative structure. Along with this, 11 new ADM and 35 SDM offices have been opened.

Call from the Chief Minister

Gehlot said that every citizen of the state should certainly play an important role in the progress of the state by voting. He called up on the youth to fulfil the dreams they have seen for the nation and humanity with determination. The government is working according to the sentiments of the youth.

On this occasion, school students and folk artists through dances, folk songs, and playing bands showcased patriotism and folk culture. The function concluded with singing the national anthem. Rajasthan Assembly speaker Dr. C.P. Joshi, former minister of state for education  Govind Singh Dotasara, Chief Secretary . Usha Sharma and MLAs, public representatives, officers, employees and other eminent people were present on this occasion.
